Biography – September 2004 Sharp Boys’ Steven and George Sharp continue to see out 2004 as one of the busiest years in their career together, with the successful launch of new night “Anarchy” and the relocation of their two year old club “Royal House” from “Heaven” to “Fire” (plus two further club ventures forthcoming in late 2004…!), a jam packed dj schedule and a busy summer and autumn of producing and remixing! Sharp Club News Anarchy – The boys monthly Saturday night residency (last Saturday of every month) at the all new Fridge club in south London continues to go from strength to strength, having just been voted “No 1 Club Night in London” by dance bible “Mixmag” and a “Top 5 Nights Out in London” by the uk’s second biggest music publication “DJ Magazine”. The club that has already witnessed stunning sets from Andy Farley, Lisa Pin Up, BK, Nick Rafferty, Charlotte Birch, Rachel Auburn and Ian M, gets ready for a punk rockin’ Autumn with forthcoming guests including; The Tidy Boys, Tall Paul, Anne Savage, Brandon Block, Ali Wilson, Ed Real, and Kutski! Royal House – Following a highly successful 2 year reign at Heaven “Royal House” will be returning soon at it’s new palace “Fire”. Now billed as the “Official Pre Party of Beyond” Glitter Gutter – A new bi–monthly party hosted at a well established weekly Friday night club in the east end of London – the boys will host the back room of this legendary venue booking the dj’s and spinning themselves. Details are still being confirmed although the debut of “Glitter Gutter” should be before the end of 2004 and every other month from next year! Shocking – Yet another brand new club venture to be held at a secret location in the south of the UK once a month from the beginning of 2005. Hosted by Stephanie Starlet and her gaggle of bitches…! “Shocking” intends to follow it’s namesake in every way possible…stay tuned for more details…! Productions & Remixes
Having hit their 300th remix (George Michael’s “Flawless”) in the summer of 2004, this year was always going to be a memorable one for George & Steven in the studio. Between April and the end of May they remixed seven projects including of Stonebridge “Put Em’ High”; Fierce Girl’s debut “Double Drop”, “I Just Wanna’ Dance” – from “Jerry Springer T!he Opera” and two singles for Rachel Stevens (“Some Girls” and the forthcoming “More More More”). Three of the above singles entered the National UK Top Ten within a month of each other, and as we enter September the boys have three remix projects forthcoming including the second “Fierce Girl” single and a reworking of a disco house tune for Brighton’s “Loaded” records. From their first gig together as “The Sharp Boys” at Gay Pride in the summer of 96 – where they spun in the Trade tent – the boys have played all over the UK. From the “Ministry of Sound” to “Progress”; “Miss Moneypennys” to “The Zap”; “Heat” to “The Gallery”; “Full Tilt” to “The End” there are few clubs in the UK that have not witnessed a “Sharp Boys” uplifting, funky house set!
