dj’ing It’s fair to saythat the past twelve months have been a pivotal year in the career of London born Dj Stevie B! At the tender age of 27 Stevie has stamped his mark on the capitol’s funky house scene with outstanding residencies at the cream of London’s gay clubs!
With a five year residency at London’s largest dance emporium “Equinox” where Stevie entertained an incredible 3000 people three nights a week, Mr B also introduced the biggest names in the world of pop including “Blue”, “Take That”, “Samantha Mumba” and “Boyzone” showcasing his talents as a compare!
A diamond dj in the current London club climate Stevie has won respect from his peers with his refreshing citric funky vocal house sets. With current residencies at “Element”, “Beyond”, “Fusion” and “Later” it has to be said that this dj is a man in demand!The south London afterhours phenomenon “Orange” on Monday mornings at “Fire” (a venue in which he co owns) has to be acknowledged as the jewel in Stevie’s busy weekend schedule.
His weekly closing sets have become something of legend in the club’s history! Never scared to take risks with his music, his impeccable mixing style incorporates the best in vocal funky house with accapellas galore and a few surprises along the way!Guest spots around the UK include “Wild Fruit” (Brighton); “Up Your Ronson” (Leeds) and “Royal House” (London). productions and remixes.
Stevie has recently remixed the 90’s house anthem “Joanna” by Mrs Wood for React Music and is very excited about forthcoming co productions with his colleagues in the “Orange” stable including the Sharp Boys and Paul Heron as he embarks on a new business venture, setting up the brand new label “Marmalade Recordings”.club ventures and ownership.
As previously stated Stevie is a co owner of the Vauxhall (South London) based nightclub “Fire” which has gone from strength to strength in the past year hosting some of today’s busiest events including “a:m”; “Rude Boyz”; “Growl House”; “Orange”; “Royal House” and “Later”!
On top of this Mr B is also a director of the newly revamped and made over legendary venue “The Fridge”. Situated in Brixton London, this historic venue has seen diverse acts such as “Pet Shop Boys”; “Jamiroquie” ; “Take That” tread it’s boards! Even “Laurel and Hardy” graced it’s stage in the 1930’s!Today the venue hosts the cream of the UK’s clubs including “Twisted”; “Knowhere”, “Anarchy”, Bedlam” and “Blast”.
